Create the required DHCP Scope/s and Options
On the required DHCP Scope/s:
- Create a new Policy
- Name the policy
- Change the policy to "Relay Agent Information"
- Change the operator to "equals"
- Select "Agent Circuit ID:"
- Go to pfSense Interface list and select the corresponding interface name per status interfaces
- - Example MGMT Interface (opt1, bge0.99)
- - In this case we select bge0.99
- - Convert to Hex
- - https://www.online-toolz.com/tools/text-hex-convertor.php
- Paste the resulting Hex string in "Agent Circuit ID:"
- Next select NO (not tested but I think it works that way...)
- Leave all other prompts clear/unconfigured to apply the scope options (not tested but I think it works that way...)
Setup pfSense DHCP Relay
- You need to disable ALL DHCP Servers on pfSense!!!!
- Select Interface/s
- Enable "If this is checked, the DHCP relay will append the circuit ID (pfSense interface number) and the agent ID to the DHCP request."
- Set DHCP Server IP Address/es
